Battery Safety Features - UL Certification

VoltBike's battery packs are engineered with robust safety features to ensure reliable performance and user protection. At its core is an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) that provides multiple layers of safeguards, including overcharge protection to prevent excessive voltage, over-discharge protection to avoid deep depletion, short circuit prevention for electrical faults, and temperature control to mitigate overheating risks.

Additionally, the pack's high-strength outer shell offers excellent resistance against impacts, vibrations, and environmental elements, making it durable for everyday riding conditions.

As part of VOLTBIKE's commitment to battery safety and quality, our selected internal and external battery options for V1 and V2 models have been independently evaluated and certified by SGS to the applicable ANSI/CAN/UL/ULC 2271 safety standard.

SGS is a globally recognized testing, inspection, and certification organization. These certifications provide independent third-party verification that the specific battery models identified in the certificates have been evaluated against the UL 2271 safety requirements for light electric vehicle batteries.

For transparency, we have included copies of the applicable SGS Certificates of Compliance below for customers to review.

At Voltbike, safety is a priority in the design and development of our electric bicycles. Beyond individual battery certifications, selected VOLTBIKE electric bicycle models have undergone independent third-party testing and certification by SGS North America Inc. to the applicable ANSI/CAN/UL 2849 safety standard.

UL 2849 evaluates the electrical systems of electric bicycles, providing an additional level of assurance regarding electrical system safety.
