I really enjoy the new seat,it is soft and comfortable to sit on.
Great bike. Was looking for the lightest bike possible for my wife with good battery. She had it on pas 2 and sometimes 3, we went 30k and battery still showed full. The only thing she had issue with is slanted paths with curves. Was hard to turn for her. The other thing is the bike was expensive so we went with the regular seat and it’s horrible. Gona have to buy a different one.
(Male, 48yo) Having had major surgery and spent many months in a hospital bed, needless to say that my muscles had all but vanished and walking became an impossible task. Through rehab, I started to walk again and my next logical step was riding a bike. Having lost all balance, a conventional bike was not an option because the risk of falling was immense. This is where an electric tricycle weirdly became a thing. Sure, I feel too young for an eTrike, but if it means moving around vs staying at home, I'll give it a try.
I chose Voltbike simply on one basic preconceived idea: as a Canadian, if I want to know how to move around a city in a healthy and efficient way, I'd ask someone from BC and, more specifically, Vancouver. So, lo and behold, here I am shopping an eTrike that looks kinda nice, from a BC company, and promises great customer service, easy assembly and awesome performance.
Well: Voltbike delivered. In less than 10 days, I had my bike at my door in la Belle Province. Ordrered all the bells and whistles: torque pedal and deluxe seat are the essentials I'd recommend. Assembly is a breeze: just unscrew 4 bolts, put the handlebars in place, rescrew same 4 bolts. Voilà. That's it. All the wiring is already done, simply adjust the height of the seat. I'd say the bike came 99% assembled, which to me was essential. Please note: the box it came in is huge! Which is a good thing, but it might surprise you.
Performance wise, there is a small learning curve on two points. First one being how to handle curves: you need to feel how to incline your body into the curve and it takes a few minutes to get the hang of it. The second one is learning how the electrical assist helps, with the different levels of intensity. This took me two distinct rides to fully understand how the bike can best HELP me when needed, the way I need it to. Now it does exactly what I expect of it: not too much assisttance so I'm sweating and working out my leg muscles, but enough assistance to make the ride fun and cover long distances. And if I need a small break: full motor ahead, just like a scooter!
So here we are. I don't know if the Trio is the best bike in the world, but in my experience, it is efficient, comfortable, safe, kinda good looking, and (almost) no assembly required. Surpasses my expectations, and I am one happy camper who can now enjoy life a whole lot more.
Had a minor problem with my front headlight
A short email later all was settled under warranty. Shipping was just as fast .
Great service Voltbike
Thanks
Sales service was great. I haven’t had any need for service work. I’m a senior who rode a pedal bike short distances. I found the e-bike much heavier than I was used to, and the different settings confusing - not a complaint, it will just take time to learn them all. I did buy a new seat that was more padded than the one that came with it.
This bike is very good compared to what's available in the market at this price range. The best part is the battery life. I upgraded to 25 amp battery and after 35 KM mostly with throttling only, still showing 100%. I assume, it would easily cross 100KM. The dual suspension is excellent as well. I do not feel uneasy in the bumpy road. Bike itself is pretty nice looking as well.
Having said that there are some room for improvement. The bike doesn't have enough power to go uphill. The motor power maxed out during half way while going 100 meter uphill and I had to use assist to make it all the way up and I barely made it. And I am only 150 pound 5 foot 5 inch tall. This was understandable with only 500 watt motor. The thing is the should either increase the motor power or not advertise this bike good for going uphill.
Another thing I did not like is the seat. It is very uncomfortable for longer ride. Something they should be looking forward to change next time.
Also, tyres are not friendly for the city ride. Lots of road noise come from it. It not bad for offroad though.
Overall, I know you can not get everything you want, but these are my suggestions for further improvements.
Thanks,
Shishir
6400km, centre stand section spanning rear chain stays broke right off. Was probably partially broken for prior to breaking off completely :(
I’ve received my New Bravo a little over a week ago. It was very easy to assemble. I have put 150km on it already and I’m loving it! I thoroughly researched many brands of e-bikes prior to purchase. A few of my friends had Voltbikes and good reviews so I tried it. Highly recommend Voltbike!
I ordered the more comfortable seat
I just purchased the Outback. This is my third Voltbike - my first bike was the Yukon 750, then the Yukon V2 Step-thru, and now the Outback. Personally, I like the Outback better than the Yukon. For the most part, it has the same equipment and power options. However, this model also offers the 25ah extended battery and dual shocks, which makes a big difference when riding on bumpy roads. Also, with the extended battery, I'm no longer experiencing range anxiety as I know it can take me 100-120km in range (depending upon power usage). I took the Outback for the first ride yesterday at 40km and I didn't even lose a bar. This is a terrific bike and I'm very pleased to continue to support Voltbike. I received excellent customer service while I was making my purchase and whenever I had questions, they were answered very quickly. Thanks for a wonderful bike and purchase experience!
Love my new bike. Only concern-kickstand does not seem to be adjustable and when stopped and using the stand-the stand seems to keep the bike too straight up (not enough of a slant on stand), therefore bike does not seem stable standing. is there any way to correct this problem. Please respond.
Can't say enough about my Elegant Bike and support from Volt Bike since my purchase in the spring of 2023. I live in Kitchener Ontario and use it mostly for recreation on bike and rail trails. I can't believe how easy it handles and the range. I usually use it in setting 1 to 3, but will often use the throttle when I go too far or the winds are too strong. I have gone 120 km on a charge and its rated for 80. If you are thinking of getting an ebike buy a Volt bike now. My only "wish" would be the option of having the front light "flash" for road riding during the day and that this function does not dim the display. Currently, if you want the front light on its a solid beam and dims the display. I strongly recommend their helmet (which fits great) and mirrors. Happy Riding
Excellent bag well designed for what it's for. Only improvement i could offer is if the off bike carry strap had a shoulder pad included...
received the bike fast with front rack already installed in perfect condition . this is my 2nd bravo after riding my 1st one 7000 k and still working great without having any problems I thought i would try a new bravo v2 . my concern after the first ride was how much louder the motor is compared to the older bravo don’t no if this is normal otherwise it seems to be a good bike
This is my second Elegant bike. I had the original model which I purchased in 2019. It was my trusty ebike for almost 6 years but I decided I wanted something newer. The pedal assist is much smoother, the updated screen display is a definite improvement, and I love the new hydraulic brakes. Keep up the great work guys!
This is the third volt bike I’ve purchased love them all but the Yukon is a little much for me so unfortunately it has to go but we still have the elegant
Ordered the correct size for the bike listed and it was too long. Customer service has been terrible as they have ghosted me completely.
It’s great tricycle, I’m impressed by the quality, fun to ride on electric way and the oversized seat is so comfortable. I’m very happy with my purchase and I got a pretty good service. I recommend the trio, it worth the money.
I liked my first elegant so much, I bought another one!
I was looking at an extended range battery and decided to go with a whole new bike (new tires, brakes, etc).
My old bike has many years left and I sold it for a good price, showing that they have a solid resale value too.
