What kind of pedal assist sensor does the Bravo use? Torque, cadence or some combination?
The Bravo uses a cadence speed sensor with a magnet plate that has 12 magnets. A torque sensor conversion is possible if you're interested in switching to that instead.
Can the LCD screen freeze in cold temperatures when left outside?
The LCD display is tested to work at temperatures down to -25°C. However, we don't recommend storing the bike outside for extended periods in freezing temperatures.
What e-bike class are your bikes?
Our bikes are Class two, motorized pedal assist with throttle.
Is the battery and casing proprietary? Is it easy to replace?
Our battery is not proprietary. It's produced by Reention, a manufacturer also used by other ebike makers in North America. You can purchase replacement batteries from third-party retailers like Amazon and eBay, or check the batteries we offer directly.
Does VoltBike Bravo come in more than one frame size?
VoltBike Bravo comes in one size frame only. The frame size is 19" and is great for a rider between 5'6" and 6'3".
How is it shipped? I read it comes completely assembled in one review.
Your electric bike arrives almost fully assembled with the front wheel already attached. The handlebar and pedals are detached to protect them during shipping. Most customers can reattach these parts in 15-30 minutes using the multi tool that comes with your bike.
Which Samsung battery is used in your battery pack, 48G, 50E or 50G?
Our battery pack uses Samsung 35E 18650 3500mAh Li-ion cells. These are considered high-quality cells for use in e-bikes, battery packs, and other high-performance devices.
Can this bike be used for off road?
Yes, this bike can be used off-road. While we offer some models more purpose-built for off-roading, such as the Yukon, Enduro, and Outback, the Bravo and Elegant models will also work off-road.
Can you use full throttle without peddling? I know some bikes you can’t.
Yes, you can use full throttle without pedaling. You can use throttle only, pedal-assist only, or both together. You also have the option to set pedal-assist to level 0, which disables pedal-assist entirely so you can use pure throttle only.
When I squeeze the brake handle, a brake symbol with a exclamation shows up. Why?
This is the brake sensor icon, which indicates that the motor power cut inhibitor is working properly. These bikes come standard with a switch that cuts power to the motor as soon as you engage the brake levers. The symbol on the LCD screen shows that this safety feature is functioning and stopping the motor while the brake is engaged.
Can you tell me the height range for the Bravo. How tall should I be?

Is the 20Ah or 25Ah battery interchangeable with the Elegant, Bravo and Yukon?
Yes. This battery is compatible to many of our models, including the Elegant, Kodiak, Bravo, Yukon, Outback, and Enduro. Both the 20 amp hour and 25 amp hour batteries are interchangeable with these models.
What e-bike class are your bikes?
Our bikes are Class 2, which means they feature motorized pedal assist with throttle.
Is it possible to use a wheel lock nut/bolt system like the Kryptonite or the Abus systems on the Voltbike Bravo. The Krytonite nutz use a M9, M10, or 3/8's size nut and the boltz use a 130mm and 150mm size.
The Bravo's front hub has 100mm quick release spacing, so the 130mm QR version may work for you. If you swap to a solid axle, the front axle should be 9mm, though cone threads aren't always standardized. The rear hub is 142mm with a solid 12mm axle and won't be compatible with lock nut systems like the ones you mentioned. Since the rear wheel is harder to remove, it's less of a theft target anyway. A good lock and common sense are your best defenses against bike theft.
How far will the Bravo go on a single charge?
