The Outback offers the ultimate mix between trail and city biking. The power of a Yukon... but with a reliable full-suspension frame design, RockShox rear air shock, and faster rolling tires. All this comes together to make for an exhilarating and comfortable riding experience, all in a very well priced package. Its powerful Bafang 500w (750w peak) motor paired with a 48v 19.6Ah Li-ion battery (with optional 25Ah upgrade) ensures that your trip can go the full distance at full speed.

The Outback is now available in a Large (18.5" frame with 26 x 3.0 tires) and a smaller (16.5" frame with 26 x 3.0 tires) for riders as small as 5'3"

The Outback can be built as the FatBack with a 26" x 4.0 fat tire option. This includes the wider rim we use on the Yukon 750 bikes. This offers extra stability, and also makes it easier to find winter tires in this more common tire size.

Overview

750W Peak Power

BAFANG is the world’s biggest manufacturer of hub motors for e-bikes. VoltBike Outback is using Bafang G06 series geared motor which provides 80 N.m. max torque and up to 750w of peak power. The Bafang G06 series is remarkable for its high efficiency and power thanks to the integrated nylon planetary gears.

Samsung Battery

VoltBike Outback is using 48v 19.6Ah (9500Wh) battery pack with Samsung INR18650-35E cells. The battery pack holds UL 2271 safety certification. Assembled by Phylion which is one of the largest battery manufacturers for ebike batteries with facilities in China, Europe and India. Samsung SDI’s Li-ion battery cells are preferred by high-end e-bike makers and companies that lead the e-bike market.

RockShox Rear Air Shock

The RockShox Monarch R is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Its lightweight design not only delivers silky smooth travel, but thanks to the DebonAir air spring, it also delivers a spring rate you'd generally only get from a much heavier coil shock. Fully adjustable shock capable of smoothing out the most aggressive trails, while simultaneously saving you weight for epic cross-country riding.

Full Suspension

Get increased stability in the bumps and while descending.VoltBike Outback is a smart choice for all types of riding including trails or in the city. Get better traction, control, and steering, minimizing the risk of mistakes on tough terrain.

Hydraulic Stopping Power

Voltbike Outback using Tektro Auriga hydraulic front and rear disc brakes with 180mm rotors. Tektro Auriga comp disc brakes features an open system design using non-corrosive and environment-friendly mineral oil. Features dual piston design, melt forged caliper body with automatic positioning via front or rear adapters.

Backlit Color Display

The 3.5-inch display, conveniently positioned at the center of the handlebar, provides real-time information, including speed, pedal assist level, battery capacity, distance traveled, and current load. Additionally, you can charge your cell phone using the built-in USB connector. An innovative feature of the display is the lighting sensor, which automatically activates your lights when it detects darkness.

Choosing the right frame size is essential for ensuring comfort on your new bike, and the simplest way to approach this is by measuring your inseam. Your inseam is measured from the middle of your crotch down to your ankle bone on either leg.

Really fun exercise

Only had it for 3 weeks but so far great! I like the fact that it is pedal assist is great. I want a workout and it delivers or can set for more assist or completely electric. The full suspension is fantastic and the upgraded larger seat is super comfortable. Bottom line it is super fun going through trails, along the dike or just riding in the neighborhood.

Very smooth ride

Pros:
Very smooth ride. This bike makes riding on bumpy gravel trails a breeze. I'm so glad I got the full suspension model instead of a hard tail like the Yukon. It feels like you are floating over the potholes and rocks.
Great range. I have the 25 AH battery, and went 75km at PAS level 9 with about 500m elevation gain before the battery ran out.
Cons:
The adjustable headset comes loose and needs to be tightened every 100km or so.
When using the throttle, there is this weird sound that I think is coming from the back hub that almost sounds like something is scraping the disk brake, but there is no contact. It doesn't happen when using PAS mode without throttle. It's not an obvious lube issue either as my chain is fully lubricated and clean.
Battery mount is asymmetrical. This means the bike is heavier on the left and so has a tendency to lean left a bit. It's not a big deal, but if you are taking a lot of corners on bumpy terrain, you have to concentrate a tiny bit harder than you would normally have to on keeping balanced.

Not impressed

I ordered the small frame outback it came with 27.5 tires. The bike had an ugly creaking noise that no one could figure out. I removed the rear shock, put in a wooden blank, no more noise. These bikes are assembled with paint on the shock pins. Cleaned the paint off the pins, lubed and reassembled and no more noise. Not something I should have to do on a brand new $2400 bike.

Love this Bike!

Only had my Outback for about a week but loving every minute of it! Shipping was super fast. Customer service has been great. Go get one!
