Overview
500W Power / 120Nm Torque
Would you like a little more? The M600 motor with 500 watts rated power, 120Nm of torque, just 3.7kg - always delivers top performance and is the first choice for modern eMTBs. With its triple sensor system (1 torque, 2 speed sensors) it reacts with lightning speed to your pedal-power input and delivers impressive support at all times. Voltbike Yukon Elite Step-Thru is using mid-drive motor Bafang M600 48v 500w.
Samsung Battery
VoltBike Yukon Elite is using 48v 20Ah (960Wh) battery pack with Samsung INR18650-35E cells. Samsung SDI’s superb cell balance technology contributes to the uniform quality of the packs and driving units, and ultimately to the quality of the e-bike. Samsung SDI’s Li-ion battery cells are preferred by high-end e-bike makers and companies that lead the e-bike market.
Extra Smooth Ride
Voltbike Yukon Elite comes standard with lockout suspension RST Guide which can handle up to 4.8 inch tire. Designed for quick release axles and bolt on axles for ease of use. 135mm dropout, 32mm stanchions, 210mm steerer tube, 90mm travel. Weighing a remarkable 7 lbs., this fork is ready to tackle anything you throw at it.
Sturdy Rear Rack
Standard for Yukon Elite is aluminum rear rack with extra wide tubing. Rated for up to 15kg of cargo this rack can fit any load with ease. Mounted directly on the rack is LED rear taillight with brake light functionality.
Puncture Resistant Fat Tire
Fat tire bikes provide improved grip and traction on the most troublesome terrain by adding extra contact surface. Yukon Elite comes with puncture resistant tires Kenda Juggernaut K-Shield. Reflective liners are adding extra visibility at night.
LCD Screen
Large practical display located in the middle of the handlebar offers real time stats such as speed, pedal assist level, battery capacity, distance traveled and current load. You can also charge your cell phone through the built-in USB connector. New for the display is the lighting sensor which atomically activates your lights when it gets dark.
Box® Clutch Derailleur
The Box® Components rear derailleur boasts a limited-slip clutch with instant engagement and constant torque which prevents dropped chains and minimizes chain slap. The clutch derailleur technology reduces the chain angle on the low end, making the chainline more direct across the whole range, improving component longevity and power transfer.
Simple Controls
Our redesigned cockpit includes large easy to read LCD screen which shows all the important information like speed, battery level and current load. Get instant power with the integrated thumb throttle.

Having now ridden the bike fairly heavily for a few weeks, the frame is built like a tank, and the upgraded light is very bright. The box 4 drivetrain seems sturdy and fairly crisp, although like all mid-drive bikes, you really need to ensure you aren't not shifting under power. The power is great, and when geared correctly, you can make this heavy bike climb some pretty steep hills although likely with a little bit of pedal power thrown in.
Also, I found the company understanding, they had mis-labelled the weight rating of the bike rack on the website (now fixed), and did what they could to apologize.
I will say the two notable areas that should be improved on the base bike even if it costs a touch more is that the stock cassette was relatively easy to damage even when trying to be careful with shifting, and a chain guard up front would be great. They helped me out and I bought an upgraded cassette which they installed for me.
Its not advertised so I wasn't expecting it to be there, but it seems bafang does have a walk mode, and I would love that to be enabled too if it is possible (not sure it is).
Overall quite happy.
The overall quality of the bike is pretty good, would have been nice to have a color choice through. Does not come with a chain guard, which it should, first ride on it, my pants caught and pull chain off. I had a Bafang mid drive previous to this one, and I noticed that some of the features on the screen are locked, so I am limited to what I can set/program. Not happy about that. I think the 32T front sprocket is little too small, I put in top gear, pedal as fast as i can and can only get to about 25-28 km/h. There is a lot of power so having a larger sprocket should not affect that. I can climb some pretty big and steep hills in 4 or 5the gear, so a bigger sprocket I would just have to shift down a little more. I did find response time for questions very slow, if at all. At first before I bought it was good, usually within a few hours to 1 day max, once I bought it, took up to 7 days for a response if at all. I still have questions i am waiting on for answers, but I have official given up trying to get answers. I have posted on the website contact chat thing, on Facebook messenger and even direct email to the sales person. And nothing,
As a first ebike I think it is pretty good, but as a person who has built 3 ebikes previous to this, I am a bit disappointed. I would really like to be able to make some programming changes. Most of my friends can connect to their bike with an app, so that would be nice as well.
When I first brought this bike home, my wife, an Interior Designer and Artist, commented, "There are No Pastels Allowed in this Family," Referring to the bike's colour. Of course, her tongue was firmly implanted in her cheek. The colour grows on you and enhances the look of the bike. I have known George, owner of Voltbike, for a very long time.
