Frequently asked questions

Some questions and answers are automatically generated.

Does this rack fit all Voltbike models?
The rack is designed for Yukon, Bravo, Trio, Elegant, Kodiak, and Mariner models. However, compatibility varies by model year and frame design—some bikes may not have the required four-hole mounting plate welded to the frame. If your bike lacks this mounting point, the rack cannot be installed. Check with support to confirm compatibility with your specific model.
How much weight can it hold?
The rack can carry up to 10 kg (22 lbs) of evenly distributed cargo. Many reviewers successfully use it for groceries, small boxes, baskets, and pet carriers within this limit.
Is installation straightforward?
Most reviewers report quick and easy installation, especially if your bike has the factory mounting points pre-drilled. Some challenges arise with light relocation and cable routing—brake cables and wiring on the front of the bike can complicate the install. A YouTube installation video is available from Voltbike.
Will it fit a basket or cargo box?
Yes. The flat open platform is designed to accept cargo boxes or crates secured with bolts. Many customers have successfully attached dog baskets, cardboard boxes, and crate-style carriers to it.
What comes with the rack?
The rack includes mounting bolts, washers, and screws for attaching cargo items. Some users report missing hold-down strap screws. A headlight mount post is also included, though the light cable may need to be relocated and may not always be long enough, depending on your bike model.
Does the headlight cable reach the rack mount?
Not always. Many reviewers found the light cable too short to mount the headlight on the rack itself. Some bent the existing fender bracket to keep the light where it was, or routed the cable under the forks to accommodate the relocation.
How sturdy is the aluminum construction?
Reviewers consistently praise the rack as strong, sturdy, and well-built. The aluminum tubing is described as solid and reliable for daily use, even with regular cargo loads.
Is it easy to remove or adjust?
Several reviewers mention it's light and manageable to work with during installation. Once mounted, it remains fixed to the frame, but baskets or boxes attached to the top can typically be removed or swapped easily.
