Frequently asked questions

Some questions and answers are automatically generated.

Does this cassette improve climbing ability?
Yes. The 12–42t gear range provides lower gears than the standard cassette on some VoltBike models, giving better leverage for climbing. One customer who upgraded from a 38–11 cassette reported noticeably improved climbing performance, though they noted slightly lower top speed on flat terrain.
Will this fit my VoltBike e-bike model?
This cassette is compatible with all VoltBike mid-drive models and is designed as a replacement rear cassette. If you are unsure about your specific model's compatibility or have had issues with part recommendations in the past, confirm the correct size with VoltBike before ordering.
What is the gear range of this cassette?
This is a 12–42t cassette with 8 speeds. The larger tooth count on the three highest gears (compared to some standard cassettes) is designed to increase durability and reduce wear by distributing load over a larger area.
