What Are UL 2271 and UL 2849 Certifications?
When you see the UL (Underwriters Laboratories) mark, you know a product has undergone exhaustive, independent laboratory testing against electrical, mechanical, and thermal hazards. In the e-bike industry, two rigorous standards set the benchmark for rider protection:

UL 2271 (Light Electric Vehicle Batteries): Specifically created to evaluate lithium-ion battery systems used in electric bikes.
